Is it winter break, yet? I want to get through those dang-blasted finals, juries, opera performances, etc. It's kind of ridiculous. And this semester is impossible. Why am I a music major? I'm doomed.

Oh yeah, and Halloween was awesome. I have one picture to share:

Hello.

It's Monday, and I just had my music history midterm today. Uh? Yeah, I didn't exactly realize that it was TODAY - for some reason, I thought it was going to be on Friday. So I only was solid on about 2/3 of the material on the test. It was really the listening part that killed me. I'm hoping I can pull myself up from that crappy job with quizzes or something. What a pain in the butt.

Midterms... oh, how I love thee.

That was a lie. Work is garbahj. But this past weekend was a lot of fun for me. I slept too much and ate chocolate for dinner and did all this crazy stuff I'd never have managed to get away with before... which basically means "I ate chocolate for dinner" - I have a feeling Grammy never would've let me do that, ha ha. Not something I'd do on a regular basis, but if you went to this chocolate place, you'd totally know why I did it. Go to Naked Chocolate - it's the most amazing place on Earth. I also went to see "Transformers" in the IMAX theater at KoP with Ethan and Matt. Oh yes, and I had the most amazing sushi I've ever had in my life - I highly recommend Blue Pacific.

Wow, okay, enough for today. Will write later. Have a funderful (yeah, I just went there) rest of your day.

My viola teacher is amazing. He also teaches my standpartner, which is also amazing. I feel like I learned so much ALREADY - he just moved my right arm slightly and told me to have more of a grip with my 2nd and 3rd finger on my right hand and suddenly I sounded better. And he's not intimidating - I LIKE being criticized by this guy. This year's definitely going to be awesome.

I love this place.

Hey, kids. I dunno who actually still reads this thing, but I've still got it so I figure I might as well say SOMETHING since I still have it. You know, make use of it and all. Wheeeee.

So... I'm at Temple! Woohoo! I love it here. It's really perfect. REALLY perfect. I love my room, I love my roommate, I love my friends, I love my classes..... long story made short, I just love everything. Oh wait, I lied - I hate my piano class. HATE. But that was expected. I mean, it's a piano class. And the lady running it is like Dolores Umbridge BETA v2. She's EVIL. And she CAN'T TEACH. Oy... And what's more frustrating is that I can't seem to find the damned book anywhere. So how do I practice? That's a GREAT question. But I kind of don't. I just wing it from week to week because I can't do anything about it. *Grumbles*...

So anyway, college is really awesome. Everything here is great. And I'm close enough to home that I can just kinda go whenever I feel so inclined (which has been pretty much every week so far, but that's not going to become a trend, it's just been HAPPENING, lately). And the city is great. Seriously, it's an awesome school. Especially for you kids who love solving puzzles. Temple is like a puzzle. Yes. A puzzle that someone spilled soda on and then ate some of the pieces, then gave it to you to solve and didn't bother to tell you what that puzzle went through. See, people in administrative positions here don't bother to tell you anything. They make deadlines and plan events that you're supposed to acknowledge and attend, but there's no available information about said deadlines or events (especially the required ones - coming across obvious information regarding something academically important is about as likely as getting a winning lotto ticket). It's really fun. I had to go to a bunch of people in the music department today just to find out who my private teacher is when everyone else in the music school (INCLUDING first years) have known for WEEKS (my teacher's Brett Deubner, in case you were curious). Lots of fun, here. But aside from having to monkey around to get necessary information, I'm doing pretty good. I love all my professors (except Umbridge v2). It's great. And I'm really glad I applied and came here.

Aight, Ima go get some eats. AH, another nice thing - food is right across the street, pretty much. Mmmm... And the food here is GOOD. *Is happy with the food*...

Byebye!

(P.S.: For all you HS seniors out there, just do yourself a favour this year and DON'T apply to a million schools just for the sake of doing so. Only apply to the ones you really LIKE, the ones you'd be HAPPY with. That INCLUDES safety schools. The first half of my senior year was pretty chill compared to most everyone else's because I only applied to two and did two auditions. SPARE YOURSELVES. You only wind up going to one school in the end anyway, so why apply to all these places you don't even care about?! See, it makes sense.)

Dude, almost three months since I last wrote. Weird. But here I am. And I'm writing. Mum missed reading all the silly stuff I used to write in here on a regular basis. Generally, it isn't because I haven't had the time, rather it's because Facebook was just far more appealing. So I guess I'll just go down the list of stuff I can remember since March 13th..:

MARCH
  1. Lots of talk about finishing the culminating project..... that didn't actually lead to completing it.
  2. Hawaii trip! I'm assuming that most everyone on here has a Facebook account, so if you're up for some pictures, they're all posted up there. HUNDREDS of them. Lemmie tell ya. But aside from the pictures, it was pretty sweet. I mean, do I really have to advertise for it - it's freaking HAWAII. And to all you loyalists to the Jersey shore, I won't say "I-told-ya-so" when you mutate and grow an extra arm from all the toxic waste in that water.
  3. More Hawaii? Yeah, that's right. You're talking to a marching violist. Who discovered that marching is awesomely fun and wants to do it but doesn't want to take up a band instrument. She's going to fight for her right to march. They can't keep discriminating against string players - that's just wrong.
  4. Post-Hawaii sleeping. A lot of it.
APRIL
  1. Got into one of the most massive fights of my life. Talk about Hell. Ugh.
  2. Attended the NOT-Prom! Ben and I went and trekked around Philly during the night of prom and just had fun. It was one of the most awesome evenings I've ever had. Victor Cafe (go there if you haven't had the chance - it's amazing), wandering South Street, getting lost in Philly and driving around its perimeter... It was definitely awesome. Just do that sometime - go wander around the city in formal wear. So much more fun than NORMAL wear.
  3. Lots of raining on my parade. Literally. And I was pro that.
  4. The ULTIMATE in fun projects: Mr. Kim let us all go off in our separate directions to study one aspect of physics that interested each of us individually and then present it to the class. I got to learn a bit more about string theory (or what I could understand of it - the concepts are AWESOME, but they math is leagues ahead of me). Thank you, Mr. Kim! You're the coolest.
MAY
  1. First three days were Hell.. what with the whole "OMGYOU'RENOTGOINGTOGRADUATEIFYOUDON'TGETALLYOURGARBAGEINONTIMEHURRYUPBEFOREIT'STOOLATE!" thing. It was pretty ridiculous. I finished my culminating project a grand total of ONE DAY before it was too late. I'm pretty proud of myself for that. Mr. Kim just kinda shook his head and laughed when I handed him the forms and asked him to sign them, haha.
  2. Internship begins! Since I was the only music intern, the teachers just kinda shared me around the department wherever they needed me, and it was so great - I missed being around all of them. They were the only good part of middle school. So a big thanks to them for everything.
  3. Lots of frustration with the administration - they know about as much about music as Mrs. Seiders. Just a bunch of replicas of her. And for those of you who had her for anything, you know what I'm talking about. Nice lady out of class (in my opinion, at least), godawful during class, and a bit of a cultureless loser in both categories. And that sums up the administration, too.
  4. Music banquet - I'm so proud of everybody!!
  5. Melodee's 50th - godforbid we forget that, ha ha. Dad would have a stroke if he missed it
JUNE
  1. Scrambling to finish the internship journal (gee, that was a party).
  2. Graduation practice.
  3. Graduation.
[TO BE CONTINUED...]

So yeah, that's about it for June. For now (hence the "to be continued"). Hope that was update enough, and I'll write more later if I ever get around to it.
